0000086: Admin Rights needed when executing DPs BASE while Game XP is running
I cannot run the DPS_BASE.exe after running (what I believe is) GameXP.
This caused a problem with the RVM Integrater, however backing out of the
GameXP Settings resolved the issue. It appears more permanent with the
DPS_BASE program.

Need Privileges or Admin Rights appears twice during an attempt to run.

Please clarify.

This is the Game XP program you are describing? http://www.theorica.net/gamexp.htm [^]

And during what exact stages of the DriverPacks BASE (I suppose during the slipstream) are you prompted to enter the admin password?

Yes that is the GameXP and no I do not get prompted for a passwd. It's just two Identical error dialogs the claim I need admin rights.

Could you please post screenshots of that? And I do need the exact slipstream actions if you want me to find a workaround.

The GUI DPS_BASE error is uploaded.

Good catch on the slipstreaming part, I am currently using PowerPacker 1.0RC8 B4. I do get an error there as well, I am re-running the steps to see the exact message.

...

OK, So the only thing I see is a AVG virus warning during the execution of powerpacker. Since you said this is resolved in DPS 56.0.7, I am not worried.

So it is actually PowerPacker that cannot access the DriverPacks BASE?

Actually two issues, if you put it that way.

1) Going through explorer and double clicking DPS_BASE.exe (GUI), I receive both
the AVG Virus issue and the Admin Rights Needed message. Screen shot attached.
The same message appears twice during the attempted execution.

2) Using PowerPacker I currently only run into the AVG Virus issue. Since you've
posted back to me that this is resolved in DPS 6.0.7, I am not too worried
   about it.

Sorry about that, I hope this is somewhat clearer.

Game XP must make some serious system changes then. My suggestion is you temporarily shut it down while executing the DriverPacks BASE, since the problem does NOT lie in the DriverPacks BASE (it happens as soon as you want to EXECUTE the file, not WHILE it is executing).

About the antivirus notice: that's solved, as can be seen in the bugtracker.
