Could you retry on a different pc? This error should not occur... It's rather related to your system (or to Windows) than to my program.

It's also possible that your file got corrupted or something, so please download the latest version to be sure.

I tried base with my virtual pc. and ran successfully. i posted a screen cuz there's strange text over there. what can cause to such a error on my pc?

this crash happened to me also. very first time i extract dpbase and run, it surely crashes in xp. then run again, it works fine. later too, sometimes it happens and if i run again, it doesnt give problem. but in win2003, i was never sucessful in running dpbase. after selecting the distribution directory, it crashes. many times i tried and cannot run dpbase in win2003.
this happened in not 1 computer but 3 computers i tried, and same thing happened. i have other problems also which are thoroughly tested before it was posted in the number-0000076.

Could either (or even better, both) of you please post the PATH of the Windows installation files? I think there are some eastern signs in it or something, and therefore it's crashing. Just a guess, but a calculated one.

did u mean the xp and w2003 distribution location?
my xp path is F:\Slipstream\Distribution\W2K3Ent\SS
my w2003 path is F:\Slipstream\Distribution\XP\SS

Sorry for the late reply, did not notice you had replied to my last question.

I thought that you were perhaps using a path with unicode characters or something like that. But that's obviously NOT the case. So far no one except for you two have gotten this error, so I'll close the issue. But first I have one final question. What is your system locale?
