I simply cannot reproduce the problem. I've tried it without an original svcpack.inf (thus let the DriverPacks BASE create one) and then slipstream it again several times, even modify the file, but every time it worked just fine. I've tried by using several different svcpack.inf files that I got from someone or that I got from a CD, again not able to reproduce!
I'm afraid this won't get fixed until the problem gets really narrowed down. |

@jtdoom: if you want me to *reproduce* it, I will need the original file! And then I can only hope I *will* be able to reproduce it. I've been send one other file that resulted in an invalid svcpack.inf, but unfortunately it did work for me: unable to reproduce. |

BAD_svcpack.inf is the bollixed file I copied to Floppy.
(from the machine that produced the error, to floppy.)
Its content is same as that packed svcpack.IN_ file I looked at yesterday.
name changed to avoid dupe names |

To try and help resolve the HD audio popup issue i've uploaded all the files from the three different installs I did.
1) Clean.rar contains the files from a clean image of XP PRO SP2 OEM English Language with a modified winnt.sif for company branding.
2) Driverpack.rar uses the same source CD as # 1 but adds driverpacks with no other modifications.
3) RyanVM.rar uses the same source CD as # 1 but uses first RVM_Integrator_1.4 to add RVMUpdatePack2.1.0.7z and Foxy_dotNET_1[1].1_and_2.0_SVCPACK_Addon_v1.0.cab then I add DriverPacks before creating the ISO.
Method # 2 results in the HD Audio popup message looking for driver. Method # 3 does not.

I think I've got it solved now... Still needs to be tested though. |
