0000051: really short timeout
with the update feature, if the firewall asks for the outgoing connection the gui give in the same time a connection error:
better setup the connection timeout with a user-friendly time (5-10 seconds)

What about just clicking 'OK' and then clicking on the 'Refresh' button? If it's detected immediately that no connection to the internet is possible, then what's the use of waiting to report that? I find that rather a positive fact than a negative one.

Perhaps I should add a 'Retry' button to the dialog box?

I've updated the message to be more user friendly. I'll consider this 'issue' as resolved then.
