Summary0000441: HP pavilion notebooks
DescriptionWhen I create winxp install cd (doesnť matter if home, profi or mce - all do same thing) with base 8.05 and masstorage driverpack, also doesn´t matter if I choose method 1 or 2, again result is same and that is that in the bootsetup windows xp doesn´t find harddrive at all.

commonly happens on classes dv66xx, dv67xx, dv9xxx, all are sata drives, chipset mostly intel ich7 or ich8, nvidia nforce610, 630

So again, here is complete setup:
1. I copy Winxp pro oem sp2 czech CD to hardrive C:\y\czxphsp2
2. I extract dpbase to C:\y\driverpack and massstorage driver pack to C:\y\driverpack\driverpacks and run dps_base.exe
3. I choose location folder of windows (C:\y\czxphsp2) and select disc
4. on next page I select massstorage pack and check in the text mode option
5. on next step I choose metod 1 (i tried even metod 2, but results were same)
6. Then I choose GUIRunOnce, disable KTD, KTD cache default
7. Quickstream cache enabled, I tried disable, but again result was same.
8. Slipstreamed succesfully.
9. Running nlite 1.4.7 and select czech
10. I select path to windows
11. Then selecting task: to integrate servise pack, patches, options, tweaks, and finally to bootoption.
12. integration of sp3 cz
13. integration of IE7cz, WMP11cz - by wmp11 slipstreamer
14. then I choose some safe tweaks and options, make boot cd with default settings and burn it.
15. When I install it usually doesn´t find hardrive unless I set off sata native mode in bios (option which newer hp notebooks don´t have).
16. If I get after detection of hardrive the instalation goes succesfully until first log on when I get this message: System can´t find C:\DPsFnshr.exe etc.

few notes: with dp7.04 and without sp3 it was working. now I am using dp8.05 and massstorage 8.05.
